Dr. Kende Lőrincz

Dermatologist, Venereologist, Cosmetic dermatologist

I graduated from Semmelweis University at 2012 but I became enthusiastic about dermatology during my 4th year of residency. After finishing my medical studies I started working at the Department of Dermatology at Semmelweis University. I completed my PhD in 2017 and I became a certified dermatologist, venereologist and cosmetic dermatologist in 2019 after passing my exam with excellent qualification. I was appointed Head of Department at the Clinic’s inpatient Dermatology Department at 2020 January.

I also work in outpatient care, mainly at clinics specalised in psoriasis, sexually transmitted infections and skin tumors. My manual skills developed the most while practising at the onco-dermatology department of the clinic thanks to which I now have great experience in performing liquid nitrogen freezing, procedures with an electric knife / diathermy, and removing moles and various types of skin lumps. I was able to deepen my knowledge of surgical techniques during my internship at the Plastic and Burn Surgery Unit of Szent István Hospital.

Apart from practising, I am also active in research. I am involved in several clinical drug trials and I am interested in researches related to tumour formation and skin aging. I am engaged in teaching as well, I hold lectures in Hungarian, English and German for University students. I examine each patient thoroughly, with great care as my goal is to explore the connection between the skin symptoms, the medical history and the possible latent comorbidities. I follow a complex approach and I also strive to offer the simplest and most effective treatment for the earliest possible recovery. During manual interventions, I focus on precision and safety to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing results.

Services of our Centre include examination and treatment with modern equipment for various dermatological diseases, including psoriasis, hydradenitis suppurativa, acne, rosacea, seborrhoea, eczema, atopic dermatitis, pediatric dermatology and hair diseases.

Oncology is playing an increasingly important role in dermatology, as the occurrence of diseases belonging to this category rises year by year. Basal cell carcinoma is the most common malignancy affecting white-skinned people while melanoma has the least predictable behaviour among tumours. Services of our Clinic include diagnostics and – with a few exceptions – treatment for these medical conditions.

Sexually transmitted infections

A special area (which used to be called sexually transmitted diseases, today known as sexually transmitted diseases, infections - STD / STI) has always been an integral part of dermatology from the very beginning. Due to the nature of these diseases, in addition to an accurate and reliable diagnostic background, it is important to have intimate atmosphere at the Clinic with open-minded, unbiased professional medical staff. This is what I personally believe in and this attitude is typical of all doctors and colleagues working at our Clinic.
